Great news for the Latvian exporting businesses, two homegrown companies Groglass and Balticovo have been nominated for the Import/Export Award at the prestigious European Business Awards. They have been chosen from 678 National Champions by an esteemed panel of judges made up of European business and political leaders, academics and entrepreneurs. The companies are one of 110 Ruban d’Honneur recipients chosen from across Europe. We are also please to learn that this year one of the members of judging panels will be the director of LIAA Mr. Andris Ozols.
Since 2007, the European Business Awards has been shining a light on the most innovative businesses on the continent by promoting success, innovation and ethics in the European business community. Balticovo is a company with over then 40 years experience in production eggs and egg products. The companys main sales markets are EU, CIS, Middle East and Africa. Balticovo is exporting around 70% from total turnover. Balticovo is focused on human health friendly products. The company's success is energetic, result-oriented, creative and innovative team. Balticovo is constantly growing using the most advanced production technologies. At the moment only 30%-40% of products are sold in the Baltic states, the rest is exported. Biggest export markets are Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Denmark and Slovakia.
