Doing Business with Latvia -

Reception at the Embassy of Latvia
22nd September

Organised by Enterprise Europe Network and LIAA

In the view of the upcoming trade mission to Riga in October 2016 organised by the Enterprise Europe Network Enterprise and UKTI East of England, the UK businesses are invited to join the reception at the Embassy of Latvia on 22nd September to learn how to grow business overseas and why Latvia is a perfect location to start off.

In collaboration with the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA), the Counsellor of Ministry of Economics Mr Guntis Rubins will be talking about the benefits of doing business in Latvia and a British company will share their experience of trading in Latvia. Representative of EEN will also talk more about the upcoming trade mission to Riga if you are thinking of joining the trip (18-20th October).

Why Latvia is the place to be:

  • The Latvian economy is one of the fastest-growing in Europe. It is forecast to grow by 2.8% in 2016 and 3.1% in 2017, (DG ECFIN)
  • Investment in Latvia is strong, with EUR 6.9 billion of funding being delivered between 2014-2020
  • Latvia is a transport and logistics hub for expansion into Russia, Scandinavia, Asia and Eastern Europe.
  • Low corporate tax rates, fast internet, and a qualified and multilingual workforce make Latvia a very attractive destination for forward-looking businesses.
