Just 2 hours flights from London and you will be part of an intimate yet influential event, with around 1000 participants – startups, investors, and everyone in between - discussing the latest trends and findings in digital technologies and their impact on policy-making, startups and business, lifestyle. Since the Festival takes place in Riga, it facilitates interaction between ambitious startups from the Baltics, Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine. The DFF is more than a startup conference. It takes special interest in uniting the world of technology with that of policymaking - an opportunity for greater digital dividends to us all.

The Festival offers inspirational speeches, challenging discussions and networking opportunities for everyone: startups pitching their ideas and showcasing their products; investors speed dating startups; policymakers looking for gains from digital transformation; corporates seeking synergies and spinoffs with startups; students thriving on inspiration etc.

E-governance, shared economy, smart cities and cyber security. The central theme of the festival will be the digital revolution and its effect on business, politics and lifestyle. Participants will look for answers on how society, policymakers and entrepreneurs can collaborate, use the advantages created by technology and benefit from it. Startups will be able to participate in a pitching competition and present their products and services at the Expo in order to attract clients, investors, employees and gain international media attention. Investors will be able to meet with talented startup and technology entrepreneurs from the Baltic region as well as from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

Startups from the region invited to participate in 500 Startups pitch. The Digital Freedom Festival together with the world’s biggest accelerator 500 Startups invites pre-seed stage startups from Baltic region, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and beyond to participate in a top-grade pitching competition. Startups can apply for a place at the Digital Freedom Festival and 500 Startups Pitch by buying a ticket to the Digital Freedom Festival by 13 October. The best startups will be invited to interviews for a possibility to join the 500 Startups accelerator program.
